The crawl changed the brief.

I started with a search and AI visibility audit. Then I found around 60 compromised pages already indexed by Google.

SEO & GEO visibility audit dashboard

The SEO work had to wait.

A compromised site does not need better rankings first. It needs the damage contained, the bad pages removed and the legitimate site made trustworthy again.

What the audit found
Around 60 spam pages in French already indexed by Google
Hosting protection blocking every AI crawler tested
Search visibility work competing with a more urgent security problem
No admin access: the diagnosis had to be built entirely from outside
the audit
What I delivered
A cleanup runbook, placed ahead of the original SEO work
Eight paste-ready technical and content artefacts
Validated structured data and AI-crawler recommendations
A plan ordered by impact and by who needed to act

Google had indexed the hacked pages. AI crawlers could not reach the legitimate ones. Ranking advice was not the first problem to solve.

Audit Crawl & benchmark the whole site Diagnose Find what blocks visibility Prioritise Plan the actions by impact Implement Hand-off to the developer

I ran the site through the same eight-dimension method I had already tested elsewhere, but changed the order of the engagement when the evidence changed. The security cleanup came first; search and AI visibility came after it.

Eight dimensions

The site was crawled and benchmarked against real queries — in search engines and in AI answer engines — across eight dimensions.

Need an outside view of what search engines can see?

I audit the site from the same position as a search engine or AI crawler, then separate urgent fixes from useful improvements.
